Day 172 - Mount Cook, New Zealand
Day 172 – 27th November 2005 +13:00 GMT Total Miles 29855
Got up and bought some eggs then proceeded to cook scrambled eggs on toast for Jill and I. Once we had eaten we decided to walk the Kea Track.
View from our Hostel
So we left the hostel and walked to the village centre where we went to the visitor centre for a look at the routes then we went to the start of the track. The track winds its way through sub-alpine grasslands and scrub until it reached the Mueller Glacier moraine wall.
Mount Cook National Park
On route we walk over many boardwalks as I guess in the winter the ground is very boggy, after about an hour we get to the end of the path and have a fabulous view over Mueller Lake and of Mount Cook.

We sit at the end of the path for a while before making our way back. We stop of at the village for a quick pint on the way back to the hostel and sit on the outdoor balcony with the mountainous backdrop.
When we get back to the hostel we read for a bit then cook some food, I then have a Sauna and then relax in the video room and watch the film Rouge Trader. When it ends we all go to bed.
