Day 71 - Atlanta - New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
Day 71 – 18th August 2005 -6:00 GMT Total Miles 12771
Set off at 11am for a long drive to Atlanta, drove for around 9 hours. We drove south through Georgia and across Alabama then across Mississippi and into Louisiana.
Welcome to Mississippi
We did stop at the international house of Pancakes for lunch. We arrived at 7pm and checked into our hotel Chateau Depres in the French Quarter on New Orleans. I visited Harrahs casino for a couple of hours and won $248.80. We then headed into the french quarter and walked along Bourbon Street. Now Bourbon is famous as is New Orleans for being given beads in exchange for flashing body parts. We collected many beads necklaces but they were being thrown to the crowds for balcony’s above the street.

We visited a bar for dinner and then onto another bar, we eventually settled at a bar with a really good covers band and stayed there until 2am.
