We then walked down to Market Street as The Love Parade was happening in San Francisco today. (The Love Parade is held all over the world and is a music event with DJ’s from all over the world) The star of this event was England’s own Carl Cox. The Parade started at the end of Market Street and we spent a couple of hours watching the various floats and entertainment.

I donated some money to homeless guy and got talking to him and chatted about his life, He got married at 19 and his wife died 6 months after there marriage and he fell to bits, lost his job and started drinking, He got into debt and lost his house etc and has now been living on the streets for 31 years. He quit drinking 11 years ago and is trying to put his life back together. San Francisco is well known for it’s huge homeless problem. After the parade ended we went for food at a local shopping mall then returned to the hostel.

In the evening we went out to a nearby pub called O’Doul’s where we had a couple of beers and they do a hot buffet so we also ate there. I then went back to the hostel and watched the film hostage with Bruce Willis.
