Day 37 - Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Day 37 – 15th July 2005 -5:00 GMT

It is too hot the room feels like a Sauna so not much sleep was had. We caught the subway to South Station and walked around the harbour area, then visited the site of the Boston Tea Party of 1773. The actual building was closed for refurbishment so could only see the outside.

We hunted around for a café for luch and ended up buying wraps which tasted great. Then we wandered around the shopping district, but due to it being so hot Jill and I decided we would cool off in the cinema so saw the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it was so good. Afterwards we meet Reece and walked back through Boston common and I had a paddle in the frog pond.

We then went to see the pub Cheers which was the inspiration for the long running TV series, of course we stopped for the obligatory pint, had Samuel Adams Boston Beer.

We then walked back to the hotel via the riverside.

We chilled out in the hotel for an hour and then Jill and I went back to the park by the riverside as on Fridays they have free films once the sun sets on an outdoor cinema screen, so we layed out a blanket and collapsed on the grass for a couple of hours watching The Wizard of Oz.
