Day 31 - Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Day 31 – 9th July 2005 -5:00 GMT
Woke up to torrential rain.
The Rain In Montreal
Due to us not having any waterproofs we spent the morning in our hotel room. Early afternoon thought we would adventure across the river and find the Casino de Montreal. Ran to the nearest underground station where we managed to negotiate out way across town and then caught a bus to the casino, spent a couple of hours at the casino which is 6 storeys and in an amazing building. I won a small amount and headed back.
Me at Casino Montreal
The rain was still pouring down so used the hotel’s swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. At 9pm we went to the hotel bar and had a few drinks where Reece met his Canadian friend and then Jill and I went out for a meal. We found a bistro just to the left of the main stage at the Jazz festival and had nice Italian food whilst watching a blues band from Louisiana. Then we saw a comedy and circus skills routine on another stage on the way back to the hotel.
